These estates are bordered by Evergreen to the west, the Shawnee Slopes to the east, Fish Creek Boulevard to the south and Fish Creek Park to the north. Technically Evergreen Estates is the older portion of a dual-portion community, along with the newer portion, Evergreen. In 2012 the population of Evergreen Estates and Evergreen was 20,110. Nearly seven thousand residences make up the community, ranging in price from approximately $500,000 to $2,000,000.

Transit
Bus route 52 serves the Evergreen community, with a stop at the intersection of Millrise Boulevard and Shawnee Drive, as well as an LRT station.

Parks & Recreation
Evergreen Estates has various green spaces spread throughout the community -- which would be expected considering the name -- but the big draw is Fish Creek Provincial Park to the north. As one of the biggest and most popular parks in all of Calgary, this park has a lot to offer any community that is located nearby. Things to do include the Bow Valley Ranche Visitor Center, the Sikome Aquatic Facility, the Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant, Annie's Bakery, the Artisan Gardens, walking and hiking, biking, bird watching and swimming.

The nearest shopping hub is the Shawnessy Shopping Centre, complete with stores like Pier 1, Addition Elle and Reitman's. The Boulevard Shopping Centre is located next-door as well. This centre is Calgary's first entertainment-focused centre. Stores include Chapters, Empire Theatres, Real Canadian Superstore, East Side Marios, Tony Roma's and Sleep Country.
