Richmond - SW Calgary Real Estate

The community known as Richmond, or Richmond / Knob Hill, as the association of the neighborhood is called, is bordered by 17th Avenue to the north, 19th Street SW / 19a Street / 20th Street SW to the east, 33rd Avenue SW to the south and Richmond Road SW / 25a Street SW to the west.

Crowchild Trail SW bisects the community. Homes in the area, of which there were 2,259 in 2012, range in price from approximately $400,000 to $2,000,000. This range is wide for Calgary and means increased accessibility for buyers of many income levels. The community was established in 1950 so the styling of the homes reflects this area largely.

Transit
Bus route 108 serves Richmond, which includes a Richmond terminal. Below are the routes which use this terminal.

Parks & Recreation
The 22nd Street Park within the community of Richmond offers no amenities, but it is a beautiful green space outlined with a thick collection of trees. A couple larger parks are within a short distance to the northwest and southeast -- Shagnanappi Park and South Calgary Park.

Shopping is limited in the surrounding area. For residents it's best to head northeast to the CORE Shopping Centre. This area in general is replete with boutiques, shops, and eateries of all types.
