The community of Fairview is bordered by Glenmore Trail to the north, Blackfoot Trail SE to the east, Heritage Drive SE, Macleod Trail SE. In 2012 the population of Fairview was 3,623; located in the community are 1,606 dwellings. Prices of homes range from approximately $400,000 to $500,000.

Transit
The red line of the LRT runs west of Fairview.

Parks & Recreation
Flint Park is located in the middle of Fairview, a narrow strip of greenery along Flint Rd SE. Various other green spaces are located throughout the community as well, including Fairview Park that contains the Fairview Community Association.

Many stores surround the community of Fairview including Costco, Walmart and Home Outfitters. Smaller stores are also located near the community like Gap, The Bridal Centre, Winners and Kimberly's Fashion. When shopping for the sake of shopping is of interested, the Acadia Shopping Centre and Heritage Hill Shopping Centre prove perfect.
