Strathcona Park borders the community of Christie Park to the north, 17 Avenue to the south, Sarcee Trail to the east and 69 Street to the west. Compared to other Calgary communities Christie Park is quite young, established in only 1990 -- 46 years after the land was annexed by the city.

In 2012 the population of Christie Park was 2,196. Located in the affluent community are 728 estates ranging in price from approximately $800,000 to $1,000,000. The average annual income in the area is over $100,000.

Transit
Bus route 94 winds through Christie Park, and located close by is the 69 Street terminal, as well as a CTrain station. The CTrain runs horizontally through the community.

Parks & Recreation
Green space is woven through Christie Park from its west to east side. Strathcona Park is located just north, Ernest Manning Athletic Park just south and Edworthy Park along the Bow River a short distance northeast. Edworthy features a playground, picnic sites, a gazebo, fire pits, barbecues, picnic shelters and more.

Westgate Shopping Centre and Westbrook Shopping Centre are the nearest and largest places to shop for residents of Christie Park. Located a short drive south is the Odeon Westhills Cinema, as well as the Kart World Family Fun Centre and the Chinook Bowladrome and Heritage Park Historical Village.
