Stanley Park/Parkhill was established in 1910, making it one of the city's oldest neighborhoods. With 849 residences and a population of 1,623 the community is not, however, particularly large; in fact, the population is declining at a rate of 1-2% per year.

What are the boundaries of the community? 4th Street to the west, Macleod Trail to the east, 45th Avenue to the south and 34th Avenue to the north. The average home price in the community is $1.5M while the low end of the spectrum is $600,000 and the high is $4M.

Parks & Recreation
Nearly half of the community is dedicated to Stanley Park. It's an incredible park to have within one's own community, and it includes a lot of amenities like lawn bowling, outdoor swimming and a wading pool, water fountains, washrooms, a toboggan hill, picnic areas, BBQ stands, pathways, playground areas, tennis courts and a sports field. Located within this park is another park called Princess Obolensky, named after the Russian princess who grew up there.

For shopping residents find the Chinook Shopping Centre, just to the south of the community, very extensive and helpful. Stores there include Ricki's Canada, Old Navy, Laura Petites, Le Chateau, Addition Elle, Guess, Armani Exchange, Banana Republic, Victoria's Secret and more.
