The boundaries of Hidden Valley include Shaganappi Trail to the west, Beddington Trail to the east, Country Hills Boulevard to the south and Stoney Trail to the north. The community was established in 1990 and by 2012 had a population of 11,799 people. Home prices range from $300,000 to $800,000 approximately and as of 2012 the community contained 3,867 residences.

Bus routes 8, 62 and 118 service the Hidden Valley area.

Parks & Recreation
In the middle of Hidden Valley is Hidden Ranch Park, which features one softball field, one baseball field and two tennis courts. Surrounding stops for outdoor recreational enthusiasts include Sandstone Park, Country Hills Park, Hamptons Park, Edgebrook Park and of course Nose Hill Park. The latter is one of the largest parks in Calgary, offering the best in flora and fauna viewing. The Hamptons Co-Op Shopping Centre is located just outside the community and has stores like Martinizing Dry Cleaning, Chiro Care, Dental Centre, Accentric Hair Gallery, Co-Op Liquor Store and Subway, amongst others.
