After graduating from the University of Regina with a BA in Economics, I moved to Calgary to work for one of those large companies that make you feel like a number — and not much else. The corporate world was eye-opening, and it sharpened skills that have served me well in real estate, but my entrepreneurial side needed some room to breathe.
I became a licensed REALTOR® in 2005, and I’ve worn a lot of hats in this industry since. I’ve run my business as a solo agent, I’ve led a team of five, and today I’m part owner of REMAX First. Through every one of those roles, I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most remarkable people I’ve ever met — and I’m grateful for the repeat business and referrals that continue to drive everything I do.
This industry has been good to my family and me, so I’ve always tried to give back. That’s meant serving on local, provincial, and national committees, doing board work, and donating my time to raising money for Children’s Miracle Network. In 2016, I had the honour of serving as President of the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB®), and in 2021, the added honour of serving as Chair of the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA). I’m deeply thankful for both experiences — they’ve made me a better leader, brokerage owner, and REALTOR®.
I live in Calgary with my wife and two children, and away from work you’ll usually find me on a golf course, a volleyball court, or planning the next trip.
