Life at the Lake
Lake access is the heart of Auburn Bay. Residents get year-round use of the lake and Auburn House, the community’s 7,000 sq. ft. private beach club, with swimming, paddleboarding, and fishing in summer and skating in winter. Beyond the lake, the community is laced with parks and pathways, sports courts, a splash park, and an off-leash dog park. It’s a neighbourhood built deliberately for families, and it shows.
Schools
Auburn Bay is served by Auburn Bay School and Bayside School (public elementary), Lakeshore School (public middle), and Joane Cardinal-Schubert High School, plus Prince of Peace and St. Gianna in the Catholic system. Having K-12 options this close is a major reason families put down long-term roots here.
Location and Commute
Auburn Bay sits at the southeast edge of the city, bordered by Deerfoot and Stoney Trail — downtown is roughly 25-40 minutes depending on traffic, and the planned Green Line LRT will improve transit options. The South Health Campus hospital, YMCA, cinemas, and the restaurants and services of Seton are essentially next door.
The Auburn Bay Market
Housing spans lake-access condos and townhomes through family two-storeys up to estate homes on the water, so the community works for first-time buyers and move-up families alike — and the lake lifestyle has historically supported strong buyer demand and resale values.
